Elm unveils cutting-edge e-services at Gitex Technology Week
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 17 - 10 - 2016

Elm, a leader in innovative solutions and owned by the Public Investment Fund of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), unveiled Sunday (Oct.16) its latest cutting-edge e-services at the opening of the 36th Gitex Technology Week in Dubai, the largest information and communications technology (ICT) event in the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia. The event ends on Oct. 20.
The move is a major step towards meeting the demand from the private and public sectors for advanced and round-the-clock online solutions meant to reduce waiting time, save operational expenses, provide quality and accurate data, increase data usage, and enhance information protection.
One of the three next-generation services to be showcased at Gitex Technology Week 2016 is "Allimni". This integrated e-service has gained significant prominence with its capacity to provide government and private bodies with a direct channel to effectively and immediately send out information and alerts to end-users at reduced operational costs. "Allimni" is based on Elm's ‘smart' application designed to send out alerts and notifications instead of the expensive text messages.
‘Mojaz' is the second new integrated service to be highlighted at Gitex Technology Week 2016. It works by providing used cars dealers, individuals, or establishments in the KSA with essential vehicle information and details, including history.
Lastly, ‘Masarat' is a cloud-based e-service developed to help improve fleet management. It is equipped with key functions to enable GPS vehicle tracking and monitoring, in addition to vehicle operational management and maintenance.
Majid Bin Saad Al Arifi, Marketing Manager, Elm, said: "Gitex Technology Week 2016 is an important platform to showcase our latest electronic services for various sectors. By participating, we will further reinforce our market leadership in terms of providing one-of-a-kind solutions and e-services. We will continue to expand our solutions, which have become an essential part of e-government initiatives, in line with Saudi Vision 2030."
Al Arifi added: "Presently, Elm provides government and private sectors with ‘Resource Planning Service' through ‘Oracle E-Business Suite' on Elm Cloud, a comprehensive suite of integrated modules with shared database. Additionally, the company offers ‘Data Management Service' created to collect, organize and improve the quality of data. It allows entities to make more informed decision-making process, as well as improve their planning capabilities, strategy development, and allocation of resources".
Being run by well-trained and qualified Saudi nationals, Elm has won the trust of many government and private agencies. It is one of the leading technology companies with robust relationships with various government sectors in the Kingdom. Among Elm's portfolio of services are e-services and related products, training and advisory solutions, and information technology (IT) solutions, in addition to administrative support and assistance. The company strives to meet customer expectations, while improving the Kingdom's national IT expertise. — SG
