Pilgrims coming from the United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States, Egypt, and the markets of the Far East were amongst the top geographical groups which stayed at Conrad Makkah Jabal Omar, benefiting from the quick direct access to Al Haram and the Holy Kaabah, which the hotel enjoys via its 12 elevators.
Online booking through Hilton's preferred channels has emerged as a new channel of hotel booking during Hajj, in a market being heavily dominated by travel agents. Hilton HHonors members received exclusive discounts, HHonors Points and free Wi-Fi, and were able to check-in, choose their own room and enjoy a personalized and memorable experience, all part of Hilton›s «Stop Clicking Around» campaign, the largest ever launched in the company›s 97-year history.
[caption id="attachment_90494" align="alignright" width="227"] Ismail Sirry[/caption] "Haj is by far the busiest time of the year in Makkah and a key season for the travel and tourism industry across Saudi Arabia in general," said Ismail Sirry, general manager of Conrad Makkah Jabal Omar. "With Hajj being such a significant period for us, preparations and pre-arrangements began well in advance to ensure smooth operations.
Our hard-working team, high level of service, and unique offerings to our loyal members were among the main factors that positioned us as one of the top hotels of choice for pilgrims traveling to Makkah this year and, despite being a new property, we managed to run at almost full capacity."
Conrad Makkah Jabal Omar provided a high level of service in all guest experiences, starting from arrival through departure, including offering a wide array of onsite dining options, from the elegant steak restaurant, Prime, which features an engaging open kitchen and magnificent views of Al Haram, to all-day dining at the Al Mearaj restaurant, which features everything from local favorites to international classics.
"Providing expert hospitality and service, in addition to luxury accommodation, is our primary commitment, and by doing this, we allow our guests to relax and enjoy the spirit of the pilgrimage," Sirry said.
Guests staying at the hotel can utilize the popular Conrad Concierge mobile app, which gives global luxury travelers the ability to customize details of their hotel stay before, during, and after each visit via a smartphone or tablet. Whether its pre-selecting bath amenities or checking-in while in-transit from the airport, guests can access a variety of features by using the app.
