Indian Republic Day The celebration of the Republic Day of India on Thursday commemorates the date on which the constitution of India came into force replacing the Government of India Act 1935. This reminds us of the vision and sacrifices made by our founding fathers, depriving themselves of the luxuries of normal life so that future generations could have a good life and future for themselves. This is the proudest of days for an Indian, to pay tribute to those great nationalists to whom we owe our freedom, a solemn reminder of the sacrifice of the martyrs who died for the country in the freedom movement, and the succeeding wars for the defense of the nation's sovereignty. The patriotic fervor of the people on this day brings the whole country together even in its essential diversity. Every part of the country is represented on the occasion, which makes Republic Day the most popular day in India. This emerging nation requires real patriotic acts from its young generation.
