British Higher Education Minister Bill Rammell praised the efforts of the Kingdom to support education programs. He said Saudi Arabia has positively developed a program for investment in universities and colleges.?He was speaking at a conference organized by the British Society for Middle Eastern Studies and the Faculty of Commerce at the University of London. The number of universities in Saudi Arabia had increased in the last four years from eight to 20.?Rammell said the United Kingdom has developed educational programs with other Arab countries as well. Recently the Saudi Port Authority and Liverpool John Moores University concluded an agreement for Saudis to be trained in different fields relating to marine research.
