Five security teams raided a home and stopped an elderly Saudi man from beating his 16-year-old daughter, Al-Hayat reported Friday. Police moved in after receiving a phone call from the girl's sisters about their father's aggression. He would sometimes even whip them, they reported, according to Al-Hayat Arabic daily. Police forced their way into the house and found the girl locked up and suffocating in a bathroom that had no ventilation. She was allegedly there for 6 hours. She was transferred to King Abdul Aziz Hospital. The father, aged 70, was taken to the Al-Mansoor Police station. The abused daughter has asked police not to return her to her father. The girls have been living with their father after he divorced their mother. They said their brother was also physically abused by the man.
