MAKKAH — As many as 645 men and women pilgrims, out of a total of 1,400 from 60 countries around the world, who were invited by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman to perform the Haj at his expense, have arrived in Makkah, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) said on Sunday. The rest of the guest pilgrims will arrive by Wednesday. The King has also invited 1,000 family members and relatives of Palestinian martyrs to perform Haj as his personal guests. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has a program to invite prominent Muslims from all over the world to perform Umrah and Haj as his guests. The program is being implemented and supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance. Tens of thousands of Muslims around the world have come to the Kingdom to perform Haj and Umrah benefiting from the King's guest pilgrimage program since it was launched.
