MAKKAH — A delegation of Yemeni Haj organizers will arrive in the Kingdom Wednesday to discuss the affairs of a total of 19,450 pilgrims who will come from Yemen to perform Haj this year. Yemeni Minister of Endowments and Guidance Fouad Omar Sheikh Abu Bakr said it has been agreed with all the Yemeni pilgrims to stay away from political discussions during the Haj season which should be solely dedicated to worship. He said the pilgrims coming by land will arrive through Al-Wadiea crossing along the southern borders. Abu Bakr said that the Haj charges for Yemeni pilgrims have been reduced from SR7,000 to SR5,000 in consideration of the high cost of living in Yemen as a result of the ongoing war.
