JEDDAH — Well-known pioneer photographer of Pakistani community Rana Javed Akhtar Sajid, popularly known as Rana Javed, hosted a dinner for the members of Jeddah-based Pakistan Journalist Forum (PJF) at his residence adjacent to the consulate general of Pakistan reecntly. Shahid Naeem, president (PJF), Amir Mohammed Khan chairman, senior member Liaqat Anjum, Anas Khalil from Pakistan Consulate (Press section), well known Naat singer Sher Afzal, noted figure of Pakistan business community Abu Baker Memon, friends and others attended. Javed welcomed all guests. He praised the cooperation of PJF, particularly Chairman Amir Mohammed Khan, who always encouraged and supported in his charity works. He described that he and his wife have started a school system named "Majeed Abdul Lateef Public School" (MAPS) at his native city Sargodha, one of the fastest growing city in Pakistan. It is the 11th largest city of Pakistan. Javed briefed the salient features of MAPS, stating that this is Sargodha's first school where Bio Metric System, security cameras, solar system (UPS), computer lab, big auditorium, alert gate keeper, 24-hour generator, air conditioners, video lecture, play land, Ranger's security guards, care-taker (r) army personnel Malik Zafar Abbas will be available. He added that students will get education in free Oxford courses and special arrangements have been made for Islamic education. Speaking to Saudi Gazette he said we do philanthropy works. I also have some projects in Mansehra a town located in Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. The name of the city is derived from that of its founder Sardar Maha Singh Mirpuri. Amir Mohammed Khan chairman PJF appealed to the Pakistani community members and social activists to come forward and join hands with Rana Javed in this philanthropic cause, and asked them to give suggestions and feedback to start the extensive humanitarian work across the city. Rana Javed has received various awards and certificates of appreciation for his philanthropic works from dignitaries.
