Saudi Arabia says four family members have been killed by a cross-border missile from Yemen that struck their home in the southern region of Jazan. A woman and child were among those killed in the attack and that three others were wounded and taken to a hospital for treatment, Civil Defense spokesman in Jazan Yehia Al-Qahtani said in a statement. He said the missile struck the home around 1:30 a.m. on Monday. The attack comes one day after seven Saudi soldiers and dozens of Houthi fighters were killed in heavy fighting on the border with Yemen on Sunday. The coalition said Houthi rebels, backed by troops loyal to ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh, tried to breach the Saudi border at the Rabou'a area on Saturday, igniting heavy fighting. It said in a statement that dozens of Houthi fighters were killed near the border strip and their military vehicles destroyed by coalition aircraft that repelled their assault. Brig. Gen. Ahmed Al-Asiri, an adviser to the defense minister and spokesman for the Saudi-led Arab Coalition in Yemen, told Al-Hadath, the sister channel of Al Arabiya News Channel, on Sunday that the Kingdom's borders are a "red line." He said that Riyadh "will not accept any violations." Asiri said the militias' "campaign on Saudi borders has no military goal," emphasizing that the "Arab Coalition will continue until the militias working against legitimacy (of the internationally recognized government of President Abdrabbu Mansour Hadi) end in Yemen." He also said that Houthis were sending child soldier recruits across the borders.
