Established on July 22, 2008, by the student trio Shaker Ali, Ghada Alghunaim and Meshal Alenezi, the organization currently boasts of more than 100 volunteers and 600 delegates.
With over 428,000 followers on social networking platforms such as Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram and Twitter, the organization can be described as one of the largest groupings of Saudi students in America.
Today, Saudis in USA provides free services through nine departments, including public relations, marketing, academic affairs, study groups, media production, editorial and social media.
The primary goal of Saudis in USA is to assist Saudi students and fill in the gaps in their education journey to make it as efficient and smooth as possible.
Additionally, the organization works as a media platform connecting Saudi students with each other and keeping them abreast of the latest news and updates from the Ministry of Education, Saudi Arabian Cultural Mission, the Saudi Embassy and consulates and local American administrations.
Another concern of the group is to highlight Saudi students' achievements in the United States, and provide media support for the activities of Saudi students' organizations and clubs.
Saudis in USA is also concerned with nurturing social concepts and values. It constantly encourages social activities and events that would make it easier for Saudi students to adapt to their schools and living environments by introducing themselves and their culture to American and international society they live in.
The vision of Saudis in USA boils down to achieving Saudi scholarship programs' ultimate goal of creating a civilized and educated society.
Saudis in USA has actively participated in connecting students with both academic and professional events and activities and supported several Saudi national campaigns.
The group covered more than 130 graduation parties organized by Saudi students clubs and provided media coverage and sponsorship to some of the most highlighted conferences and events throughout the years.
The group aims to serve all Saudis living in the US by helping them overcome academic, social and cultural challenges and fulfill their hopes and ambitions. It also facilitates them access to critical information.
In addition, the organization uses several of social networking sites to connect Saudi students in the US. The organization also highlights various roles being played by Saudi student groups in a bid to raise awareness. It documents the achievements of Saudi students, scientists, innovators and producers. This is crucial to ensure that legitimate parties patronize the products of Saudi students and consequently help them reap the benefits of their hard work.
