BURAIDAH — The father of a boy who died after being bitten by stray dogs is holding the municipality responsible and has vowed to move the courts. Badr Bin Hudaib, who lives in the village of Al-Quwarah, said he wanted to avenge the death of his son. "I was chasing down feral dogs left unleashed and unattended to kill them. During the chase, I was bitten by snake. The municipality should take care of all these loose wild animals for the safety of the people in the village," said Bin Hudaib. He said he was determined to file a lawsuit against the municipality for its negligence. "The municipality has full responsibility for the death of my son, who was bitten by feral dogs as he was walking home from his uncle's house. I am not the only one complaining. All people of the village have expressed their fear about these feral dogs through social media and have called for the municipality to tame them and put them down somehow," said Bin Hudaib. He said there are more than 70 dogs in the village and are seen everywhere. "These dogs are extremely vicious and hungry all the time. Some of them may have rabies. They gather around waste piles behind the municipality's office," said Bin Hudaib. He said people of the village live in constant fear and the municipality is not doing anything about it. "I did not even receive any consolation from the municipality officials after the death of my son. The municipality did not even express its regret over the incident. I was very angry the night my son died. I went out to search for these dogs, which the municipality should have done," said Bin Hudaib. He said during his search he was bitten by a snake. "I crawled to a nearby farm belonging to a friend. His called his friends and they took me to hospital. I came out of the hospital the next day with no serious health issues. The village is slowly developing and the municipality must act quick," said Bin Hudaib.
