Saudi Minister of Labor and Social Development Dr. Mufrej Al-Haqbani discussed with Mick Lang, vice president of Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, a Chinese multinational networking and telecommunications equipment and services company headquartered in Shenzhen, Guangdong, the transfer of information technology knowledge to the Saudi labor market. They talked about the company's experience in telecommunications and how to benefit from it in line with the Saudization of the Kingdom's telecommunications sector. They also discussed Huawei's cooperation with the specialist national companies to provide training and job opportunities for Saudi young men and women and develop their skills in the telecommunications and IT field, the Saudi Press Agency said. On the sidelines of his visit to China at the head of the Kingdom's delegation participating in the G20 ministerial meeting for ministers of labor and employment held in Beijing on July 11-13, Dr. Al-Haqbani also toured the company's headquarters. He was briefed by senior officials of the company on the latest technology they have reached and shed light on the sophisticated work environments and technology, including distance working (e.g. working from home). Al-Haqbani was accompanied by Ziyad Bin Ibrahim Al-Sayegh, undersecretary of the ministry of labor for international labor affairs, during the visit.
