CBRE asset management consultant for Seef Corner
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 13 - 07 - 2016

CBRE, the global real estate advisory firm, has been appointed as the exclusive property managers for Seef Corner by the owners, the Humaidan family. Seef Corner is a 1,827 square metre retail development situated in a prominent position in Seef District. Each unit is double height with a pre-built mezzanine providing a total of approximately 200 square meters each, with shop fronts visible from the main road.
Commencing with immediate effect, the contract was marked by a signing ceremony between Richard Botham, Senior Director and General Manager, CBRE Bahrain, and Mohammed Humaidan.
The event was also attended by James Lynn, Director and Heather Longden, Associate Director, CBRE Bahrain.
Richard Botham, Senior Director, CBRE Bahrain, said: "Seef Corner is a well-established retail development in a strategic location near City Centre shopping mall. The property already has a range of tenants in operation including: House of Travel, CaliBurger, Creolate Chocolatier and Cake Boutique. There are also opportunities for other retailers to launch brands here in a location that provides great exposure and in a professionally run complex." "Seef Corner taps into the trend of the development of alternative retail development in the Kingdom.
Traditionally larger destination malls in the capital were the main providers of shopping and leisure options, however, now smaller complexes providing unique dining options and community centers with essential services are growing in number," added Botham.
Mohammed Humaidan, Owner, Seef Corner, said: "We are delighted to announce the appointment of CBRE as our strategic partners for Seef Corner. The property is already a highly sought-after location, providing great facilities for retailers and customers alike, which includes an air conditioned passage way to shops and restaurants as well as ample off street parking and 24 hour security."
The appointment marks the nineteenth instruction for CBRE in the Kingdom of Bahrain, who manage eight commercial office properties, five retail developments, five residential buildings and compounds as well as a large industrial facility.
