Sheikh Aboobacker Ahmad, general secretary of All India Sunni Scholars Association, expressed deepest sorrow and condemnation on the despicable terrorist acts that took place in Madinah, Jeddah and Al-Qatif recently. He was reacting from India on the recent terrorist attacks that happened in the Kingdom. These incidents that occurred near by the Prophet's Mosque in Madinah, close to a mosque in Al-Qatif and in a car park in Jeddah are very painful to the whole Muslim world and there is no doubt they are criminal acts, he said. He also added that such kind of criminal acts and terrorism are alien to Islam. He also said that it's the responsibility of the whole Muslim world to condemn these kinds of heinous crimes. He commended the ways that Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and the Saudi leadership has taken for saving the Kingdom from the evils of terrorism and infighting while unrest and insecurity prevail in many parts of the world. He also emphasized the importance of the combined education — religious and secular — in a press meet in Jeddah recently while he was here for Umrah. He said that combined education is a must to meet the challenges of the modern world. It's the only way to lead the future generation to the right path, he said, adding, that his institution has been following this model of education from the beginning. He said that his parent institution Markazu Ssaqafathu Ssunniya is developing day by day with new institutions and courses. The main aim of the Markaz Knowledge City under Markazu was to give professional education to 25,000 students who are studying there. He said that they made the religious education compulsory students in the secular and modern education wing for at least one year during their study time. It will help the modern students to have in-depth knowledge of religion and his stream of education at a time. It means that the IT experts, business management (MBA & BBA), law and engineering students will have upgraded religious knowledge along with the course they had opted for when they walk out into the world with their degrees. He said that the newly started Unani medical college and law college under Markaz Knowledge City two years back are functioning smoothly and are much appreciated. Institute of technology and school of business management are also doing fine. "An English medium school of international standards and a special school for the mentally challenged students will also be opened in the knowledge city very soon," he added.
