Security of homeland is good: Crown Prince
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 06 - 07 - 2016

Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Naif, deputy premier and minister of interior, sought on Tuesday to reassure Saudis of the country's security after suicide attacks targeting the holy city of Madinah, an area near the US consulate in Jeddah and the city of Qatif.
At least four people were killed in the attacks on Monday. No group has claimed responsibility but Daesh (so-called IS) has carried out a number of similar bombings in the Kingdom in the past year.
The Crown Prince visited two security officers and a citizen wounded in the bombing in Jeddah, the state news agency SPA reported on Monday evening.
"The security of the homeland is good, it is at its highest levels and thanks be to God it gets stronger every day," SPA quoted Prince Muhammad as saying during the visit.
"I know that terrorist operations are not a simple thing, and the minor impacts that you feel now will go away, God willing," Prince Muhammad said, according to SPA. "I had been through this in the past and feel what you feel," he added, referring to a suicide bombing he had survived in his office in 2009.
He attributed the success of the homeland security to Allah Almighty and the keenness and determination of the government of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and security men to cleanse the homeland of anyone who is tempted to undermine its sanctuaries, gains and the safety of its citizens and residents.
Crown Prince made this statement while visiting security men Ziyad Bin Mufrih Al-Otaibi and Miteb Bin Dhaifallah Al-Buqmi and Saudi citizen Jameel Bin Salim Munir Al-Ziyadi, who were injured in the terrorist bombing carried out by the deceased Abdullah Qalzar Khan, a Pakistani national in Jeddah. The Crown Prince conveyed to the injured the greetings of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his wishes for their speedy recovery. He said: "I have the honor to visit and be reassured about you, and I thank Allah Almighty that you are fine."
The Crown Prince said, "The terrorist acts that took place in Madinah, Jeddah and Qatif will only increase our cohesion and strength."
Meanwhile, on his own behalf and on behalf of the Shoura Council members, the Chairman of the Shoura Council Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Bin Muhammad Bin Ibrahim Al-Asheikh denounced the terrorist crimes that targeted the surroundings of Al-Haram Al-Nabawi, one of the mosques in Al-Qatif governorate and the despicable terrorist operation in Jeddah governorate.
In a press statement, Al-Asheikh said the suicide bombing carried out by one of the terrorists in the vicinity of the Prophet's Mosque is a precedent in doing evil. It exposed the falsehood of the terrorists. – Al-Arabiya English/SPA
