The services agency at Qassim municipality launched a new project to recycle garbage collected from Iftar centers. The director of the cleaning department at the municipality, Mazyad Al-Mazyad, said that the first stage of the project was launched at the beginning of Ramadan to examine and evaluate recycling operations. The municipality laid out a future plan to include all Iftar centers, public parks, schools and colleges and government departments. Al-Mazyad said that there would be an awareness campaign on the importance of classifying garbage and recycling it to protect the environment. The first stage targeted six Iftar locations and collected more than ten ton of recyclable material. — SG
