Top-seeded Agnieszka Radwanska of Poland eased into the quarterfinals of the Eastbourne International with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Eugenie Bouchard of Canada Wednesday. But former champion Caroline Wozniacki was upset by Puerto Rican qualifier Monica Puig, who won their third-round match 4-6, 6-3, 6-4. Wozniacki, who won the title in 2009, is struggling to regain form after missing the entire clay-court season with a right ankle injury. The Dane has managed just three wins in three tournaments since her return. "You don't climb Mount Everest in one day," said Wozniacki. "I played really well. I'm really happy with that ... the foot, the body's feeling good." Although Wozniacki fought off four break points that would have given Puig a 4-2 lead in the opening set, she was unable to seriously pressure a confident opponent who recently reached the Nottingham semifinals. "She's a great player and she makes you work for every single point," said Puig. Twelfth-seeded Dominika Cibulkova also reached the quarterfinals of the grass-court tournament by overcoming Ukrainian qualifier Kateryna Bondarenko 7-6 (3), 6-3, and there was victory too for Kristina Mladenovic of France, who beat Germany's Anna-Lena Friedsam 6-4, 7-6 (4). Baghdatis advances In Nottingham, Marcos Baghdatis saved two match points before defeating fifth-seeded Sam Querrey of the United States 1-6, 7-6 (8), 6-4 Wednesday to advance to the quarterfinals of the Nottingham Open. The ninth-seeded Cypriot trailed 5-6 and 7-8 in the tiebreaker before taking the second set to force a decider against 2015 finalist Querrey. Baghdatis had 10 aces, two fewer than Querrey, as he reached his fifth quarterfinal of the year. He next plays second-seeded Pablo Cuevas of Uruguay, who came through a tough three-setter against Daniel Evans of Britain 6-7 (4), 7-6 (5), 6-4. Seventh-seeded Andreas Seppi beat Adrian Mannarino 6-2, 6-3 and plays Dudi Sela of Israel in the last eight. Sela defeated Benjamin Becker of Germany 6-3, 2-6, 6-4. Fourth-seeded Alexandr Dolgopolov beat Canadian qualifier Frank Dancevic 6-3, 7-5. On Tuesday, top seed Kevin Anderson beat Ivan Dodig of Croatia 6-3, 6-7(5), 6-3. Earlier, Damir Dzumhur eliminated the defending champion and then lost in straight sets a few hours later. The Bosnian beat Denis Istomin of Uzbekistan 1-6, 7-6 (4), 6-4, winning the third set after the match was suspended by darkness Monday. But in his second-round match, Dzumhur lost Vasek Pospisil 6-1, 6-4. Also, former top-10 player Mikhail Youzhny, who won the last of his 10 titles in 2013, beat Pablo Carreno Busta 6-1, 6-4 in the second round, while Dudi Sela of Israel defeated third-seeded Joao Sousa 6-3, 7-6 (3). Other winners included Sam Querrey, Alexandr Dolgopolov, Andreas Seppi, Gilles Muller and Marcos Baghdatis.
