Makkah Emir Prince Khaled Al-Faisal, who is also adviser to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has banned indecent and abrasive behavior at public places in all governorates of the region. The governor banned shisha, smoking, musical instruments, speakers, inappropriate dress, bringing animals and burning firewood and charcoal in public places for whatever purpose or reason. "The ban covers Corniche, public parks, jogging areas and sports facilities in all governorates," Al-Watan Arabic daily reported quoting an official statement issued by the emir's office. The statement was issued after reports about inappropriate behaviors and activities at Jeddah Corniche without care or respect for the feelings of others. "The emir has instructed the concerned authorities to implement his directive strictly and punish the violators," the statement said. Meanwhile, Prince Khaled has congratulated the president of Umm Al-Qura University on the occasion of its Faculty of Dentistry winning the first place in Klout Score Signals that reflect the influence of individuals and institutions on the social media networks. "I would like to congratulate the staff and students of the Faculty of Dentistry for this remarkable achievement and wish it would achieve more such honors in the future," the prince said in a message addressed to Dr. Bakri Maatouk Assas, president of the university. Assas thanked the emir for his kind gesture and said the government's generous support has enabled the university to make many achievements in the past.
