SHUAA Capital, the leading financial services institution in the GCC region, announced Monday the appointment of Dr. Sabah Hamad Al-Sabah Al-Binali as vice chairman of its wholly-owned credit finance unit, Gulf Finance Corporation (PSJC), according to a press statement issued here Monday. Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum who is the chairman of SHUAA Capital and Gulf Finance said that he was pleased to appoint a professional of international reputation. “ Dr. Al-Binali's addition to the SHUAA team will help us enhance our credit business locally and grow it regionally in line with our new strategy, ” he said. Michael Philipp, CEO of SHUAA Capital said Dr. Al-Binali appointment came at a time when his vast experience, business development skills and regional network will prove invaluable to further develop this business. Dr. Al-Binali's holds a B.S.E. in Computer Science from Princeton University, and a Ph.D. in Computational Finance from Columbia University. He was trained at J.P. Morgan & Co. in New York. Vastly experienced in financial matters, he has held many important positions in the past.
