Andalus Street intersection has been closed for three months to allow important rain and flood drainage works to be carried out. Commuters who normally use the intersection are being advised to use alternative roads. Brig. Muhammad Hassan Al-Qahtani, Director of Jeddah Traffic, said motorists coming from the north and heading to the west can take Al-Hamra Street or Al-Ashjar Street. Motorists coming from south and east can use the streets south to Palestine Street to go west on Mohiddeen Nazir Street, Hassan Baslama Street, Al-Iskandriya Street and Al-Maadi Street. __
