The National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (Bahri) was conferred a special award at the 11th edition of Breakbulk Europe - which concluded recently in Antwerp - in recognition of its contribution to the growth of shipping and trade in the Belgian port city. Bahri had recently launched a new RoRo (roll-on, roll-off) line on Antwerp further expanding its European presence. The award was presented to Matthew Luckhurst, Line Director of Bahri, by Eddy Bruyninckx, CEO of Antwerp Port Authority. Bahri was a silver sponsor of Breakbulk Europe 2016, the largest exhibition and educational forum in the world addressing the needs of traditional breakbulk and project cargo logistics professionals. The annual exhibition brought together over 350 exhibitors and sponsors including specialized ocean carriers, freight forwarders, ports/ terminals, logistics providers, ground transportation service providers, export packers, equipment companies and more. In addition, the event featured a series of conference sessions and micro-seminars featuring key maritime stakeholders.
