Four Asian expatriates, who allegedly ran a huge forgery operation from their apartment in the capital, have been arrested on Saturday. Riyadh Police made the arrests after receiving a tip-off from a member of the public. A Riyadh Police spokesman said a special task force was assigned to keep the location and movements of the suspects under surveillance. A security team was able to collect reliable information on the suspects and specify their apartment. At the zero hour, the special task force stormed the secret laboratory and caught one of the suspects red-handed forging documents. At the same time the security team managed to nab his three colleagues, the spokesman said. The special task force discovered 520 forged official stamps and other forgeries including 79 passports, 23 residence permits (Iqamas), release papers for expatriate workers, title deeds and visas. They also discovered large amounts of money and computers used in the forgery operations. The four suspects have now been handed over to Al-Batha Police Station for further investigation. __
