A view of the mataf (the circumambulation area around the Holy Kaaba) after the temporary mataf bridge was completely dismantled on Friday. With the removal of the bridge, worshippers in the Grand Mosque in Makkah will now be able to take advantage of the expanded mataf entirely. The temporary mataf bridge was opened for circumambulation on July 22, 2013, to facilitate tawaf during the expansion work.
