King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), announced a lease- agreement with the Saudi Airlines Catering (SAC) and handed over an Industrial land plot at the Industrial Valley for the establishment of it's industrial laundries project slated to be the largest in the GCC. The contract was signed by Engineer Khalid Bin Abdullah Almolhem, Director General of Saudi Arabian Airlines and Chairman of SAC Board of Directors, and Fahd Bin Abdul Muhsen Al-Rasheed, Managing Director and CEO of KAEC, in the presence of the SAC's Board of Directors, and a number of senior executives from KAEC. The new plant will be covering an area of 22,000 square meters at an investment of SR 50 million, and once completed, it will include the latest high-capacity laundry technologies. The project will meet the massive needs of Saudi Arabian Airlines and of other industrial and servicing facilities in KAEC. In addition, once operational, the new factory is expected to create many new jobs opportunities, and to train and develop skills for Saudi talents.
