NISSAN unveiled last Monday at Auto China 2016 the all-new Tiida and announced the launch of Maxima, strengthening its product offering for young consumers in China. Additionally, the Nissan IDS Concept premiered, bringing the company's vision for the future of EVs and autonomous driving (AD) to China. Nissan reinforced its commitment to realize its vision for zero emissions and zero fatalities with "Nissan Intelligent Mobility" (Intelligent Mobility). Between now and 2020, the Renault-Nissan Alliance will introduce autonomous drive technologies to more than 10 models in global key markets, including China. "Today, I am excited to outline Nissan's vision for the future. It is a vision that promises zero emissions and zero fatalities. It looks to a time when our relationship with cars will be a true partnership. Nissan also announced that the company will strengthen collaboration with Tsinghua University to promote Intelligent Mobility and related technologies. The all-new Tiida was unveiled featuring engine and transmission enhancements, as well as improvements in safety performance. As another important model in China, all-new Tiida speaks to the aesthetic of the young generation with the dynamic V-Motion grille and streamlined body. Tiida also brings a more comfortable experience with a more spacious interior. The all-new Tiida is an example of Intelligent Mobility in action, delivering Intelligent Power, Intelligent Driving and Intelligent Integration. It is equipped with safety technologies that are related to Intelligent Driving, such as Forward Emergency Braking (FEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW). What's more, the drivers of all-new Tiida can enjoy segment leading infortainment system with 7 inches audio display, and convenience through various kinds of media connection to the vehicle, making it a good example of Intelligent Integration. Altogether, Intelligent Power, an even more powerful 1.6L HR16DE engine, coupled with the Intelligent Start and Stop system and improved Xtronic CVT, enables the all-new Tiida to deliver superior performance with efficient 5.3L/100km fuel consumption. On the other hand, with sophisticated styling, high performance and pioneering technology, Maxima has attracted wide attention from young Chinese elites since its first China showing at Auto Guangzhou 2015. A flagship model and key product, Maxima is equipped with a number of advanced technology that are building blocks of AD and Nissan Intelligent Driving, such as FEB, LDW, BSW and Around View Monitor (AVM). Meanwhile, the Nissan IDS Concept is the realization of Nissan's vision for zero emissions and zero fatalities by transforming the relationship between car and driver to a true partnership. Created to guide the Nissan product evolution, Intelligent Mobility will anchor critical company decisions around how cars are powered, driven and integrated into society. Nissan IDS Concept is equipped with a high-capacity 60kWh battery, catering for up to 550km* long-distance drives. Advanced technologies, such as Piloted Park through smartphone or tablet and wireless charging, also enable the car to be fully autonomous in any occasions. With a series of new model launches, including Murano, Qashqai, Lannia, Maxima and the forthcoming all-new Tiida, China continues to play a major role in the global business of Nissan.
