CYBERATTACKS represent one of the fastest growing threats to the security of Saudi Arabia which is why Northrop Grumman Corporation showcased a range of defense integration and cyber security capabilities at the Ministry of Defense-King Saud University International Conference on C4I Solutions. The demonstrations are part of Northrop Grumman's ongoing initiative to help build home-grown skills and capability within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, both diversifying Saudi's economic base and fostering military self-reliance. Walid Abukhaled, chief executive, Northrop Grumman Middle East Region, said: "Saudi Arabia must keep pace with world military technology developments in order to keep safe in a turbulent region. It's vital that the public and private sector work hand in hand to meet this critical challenge. "At Northrop Grumman, we're pleased to be taking the lead. We're a key partner to the MOD in the development of command, control and cyber security capabilities across all the Kingdom's military services and we have a strong partnership with King Saud University [KSU] to help ensure Saudi youth gain the critical skills and experience needed to be tomorrow's business leaders." The international conference on C4I Solutions is designed to share innovative ideas between the public, private and academic sectors, helping to develop command and control systems and advance cyber security expertise. Many exhibits included sophisticated simulations, including an immersive real time training simulator, which provides the wearer with 360 degree graphics and a simulated battlefield environment. Other exhibits showcased state-of-the-art air defense technology, command and control systems for leaders, secure communications systems and integrated cyber-defense capabilities.
