RIYADH — Lahore Badshah Green recorded a stunning victory in just 2.5 overs in Round 7 of the SCC Cup 2016 here.
This T20 tournament is sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by Riyadh Cricket Association (RCA).
Al-Kharaj League
KFSH Blues defeated Sama Steel by 42 runs. Batting first, KFSH Blues posted 220 for 7. Munwar (60) and Ayaz (58) smashed fifties. Saqib added 38 and Waseem 37. Latafat and Adnan grabbed 2 wickets each. In reply, Sama Steel was restricted to 178. Qaiser made 52, while Asif scored 43. Iftikhar, Imtiaz, Saqib and Omar claimed 2 wickets each.
Pakistan Falcons defeated by Riyadh Aces by 18 runs. Riyadh Aces scored 201 for the loss of 4 wickets. Hassan played a brilliant innings of 100 off 64 balls. Rizwan scored 75. Arif's unbeaten 75 was not enough as Pakistan Falcon was restricted to 183 for 5. Hamza contributed 48. Khaleel picked up 2 wickets.
Pak Shaheen beat Lahore Badshah by 5 wickets. Batting first, Lahore Badshah was all out for 163. Imran and Asif were the key performers with 51 and 44, respectively. Dawood took 3 wickets, while Ibrar, Abdul Aziz and Ateeq took 2 each. In reply, Pak Shaheen chased the target in 16.1 overs. Abdul Qadir (65) and Abdul Waheed (51) smashed fifties. Imran scalped 3 wickets.
Hayer League
Lahore Badshah Green registered a thumping 10-wicket victory over Kingdom Warriors. Kingdom Warriors folded for 64. Majid, Gauhar and Furqan demolished Warriors' batting lineup. Majid grabbed 3 wickets, while Gauhar and Furqan took 2 each. Etrut was top scorer with 17. Shani Butt's astonishing batting display helped LBCC Green to chase down the target in 2.5 overs. Shani smashed 60 off 15 balls — reaching his 50 in 11 deliveries.
Karachi Dolphins cruised to an 8-wicket victory over Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators. Pakhtunkhwa Gladiators was bowled out for 89. Amir grabbed a 4-wicket haul. Kareem Ullah and Raheel took 2 each. Karachi Dolphins chased down the target in 11.1 overs. Siddique (30) and Tahir (25) took the team to a comfortable win.
Black Caps humbled Ravi by 5 wickets. Ravi notched 157. Sanaullah bowled exceptionally well and picked up 5 wickets. Abu Baker scored 40 and Usman 37. Black Caps scored 158 in 17.4 overs. Sanaullah showed his skill with bat as well and hit 75. Usman took 2 wickets.
Rising Stars won against Imran XI by 3 wickets. Imran XI racked up 180. Usman took 3 wickets and Ahmed 2. Rising Stars rushed to the target in 19.4 overs. Bilal blasted 81 and Umer 50.
Insaf lost to Kashmir Strikers by 3 wickets. Insaf posted 162 with Waheed scoring an unbeaten 68 and Nadeem making 27. Jahangir took 2 wickets. Kashmir Strikers succeeded in 19.3 overs. Sameer made 34 and Haider 28. Waheed claimed 3 wickets and Zeeshan 2.
Indian Strikers flattened Riyadh Fighters PPF by 27 runs. Indian Strikers compiled 181 for 6. Ashraf smashed 64, while Junais and Sunil scored 31 and 30, respectively. Qaiser picked up 2 wickets. Riyadh Fighters PPF managed 154, in reply. Asif 33, Adeel 30, and Shahid 27 showed some fight. Anees bagged 2 wickets, while Mithun and Raj took 3 each.
Thales crushed tigers by 51 runs. Obaid notched 48, Ali 38, Aziz 34 and Luqman 32 to help Thales post 209 for 8. Riyaz seized 2 wickets. Tigers managed 158 in reply. Mahesha showed some resistance with 46. Waheed took 3 wickets, while Luqman and Abdul Qader bagged 2 each.
