RIYADH — Vice Minister of Labor Ahmed Al-Humaidan has emphasized that the Ministry of Labor has strived to achieve consensus in making decisions through Ma3an Qarar (Together for Decision), a community portal recently launched for deliberations. With public-private partnership, the ministry and private sector have jointly cooperated in quest of supporting nationalization efforts that serve the economic development witnessed by the Kingdom, Al-Humaidan said. He reiterated that the ministry considers the business sector as a strategic partner joining the ranks to move forward the Saudization process and increase youth employment. Al-Humaidan made these statements while he chaired the primary session during the Labor Market Forum that took place at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center (RICEC). Al-Humaidan mentioned that the ministry continues to review work conditions in order to be in sync with labor market's changes as well as reach better solutions and decisions in parallel to each phase. He pointed out to the Kingdom possessing workforce with potentials alongside skills that pave the way for the youth to enter the labor market. Meanwhile, the ministry is working to prepare a competitive work environment that ensures the national cadres are given the chance to showcase their aptitude and have right to be employed accordingly, he added. He reaffirmed that any economy or development project that would not duly contribute to its human capital is an unfruitful attempt. The ministry has created a range of Saudization programs that widen job opportunities for Saudi men and women to join the labor market and prove their capabilities to do various occupations and work as part of their granted rights, he gave a special mention to the youth's access to work. Al-Humaidan said that the labor market has suffered from multiple issues that need to be fixed, stressing at the same time the need to establish a national economy movement towards empowering youth to build their future and address the outlook of their national economy.
