Drawing and coloring competition for Indian students in Riyadh

RIYADH — Riyadh Indian Association (RIA) and Faber Castell will jointly organize the Drawing and Coloring Competition for students of Indian schools in Riyadh on April 29. The competitions will be held at Isteraha Nofa on Exit 18 in Riyadh. Mohan K. Ponnath, president of RIA, disclosed this at a press meet held last night at Jarir Conference hall.
Ponnath said the competitions are being conducted to mark the 16th anniversary of RIA. The painting competition is being held for the first time and RIA has joined hands with famous stationery brand Faber Castell. Briefing the details of the competition, he said around 600 students are expected to participate from different Indian schools.
He also said it will be an exciting opportunity for the children of Indian Schools in Riyadh to exhibit their artistic talents. Attractive and expensive prizes will be presented to the winners in different categories. This competition will be held for the students of Indian schools up to 18 years of age in four categories. For the kindergarten category, coloring competition will be held for children between the ages of 3 to 5 years. Under the sub junior group drawing and coloring competition will be held for children from 6 to 9 years. For the juniors, aged between 10 to 13 years drawing and coloring competition will be held and for seniors in the age between 14 to 18 years painting competitions will be held.
Ponnath also highlighted the activities of RIA and said recently blood donation camp and volleyball tournament was also held. Colorful cultural program will follow the painting competition.

Mohammad Iqbal, brand manager of Faber Castell, said this is the good opportunity for the children to exhibit their skills and we are always ready to help.
