HUMANITY is a great trait on the face of earth. It means being a human. This quality elevates the position of a person. It can be defined loosely as to assist others in time of their needs. It could also mean to extend love without wishing any reward. Many poor who do not have the provision of even an one-time meal, and in this perspective, if anyone extends support to feed the needy and poor people, then it will be the greatest of humanitarian help a person can provide. A person is said to be lucky if he or she has everything at the time of need. If we are one of those lucky people, we should remember that in order to extend support to the needy people. The extending of our hand to help others means we have sufficient avenues in us to take the onus of helping others in need. For it is only the surfeit that you have after achieving sufficiency that is being given to our fellow beings in the name of humanity. The people who always state that they do not have sufficient ways even after having everything can never provide humanitarian works. The reason is if one has the mentality of not being self- sufficient then how can that person help any other person. Human beings must bear in mind that there is no better work than giving ones' services for the humanitarian works. Should eating and fun be the only goal of a person then we must remember that animals also do such activities. Almighty Allah has made us humans then there must be some reason behind it as human beings have an elevated level among all creatures. Then why do we shun our responsibilities to feed and help the poor and needy. The work of humanity gets nullified if the person just provides humanitarian services for the sake of fame or to attain certain positions. In today's world that seems to be the norm. Humanitarian deeds need not be just providing food and social activities that would benefit a community. It could be just simple things that could give a person a good name automatically. If he or she helps in lifting the heavy bag of a weak person or assisting the disabled to climb up the stairs or provides a push to the wheelchair, or helping our parents and other family members in their chores or efforts that brings simple joys to others or acts that benefit humankind reveals the human side of the person.
