A hospital official says a second man has set himself on fire in Tunisia, two days after a similar case. Hedia Khemiri of the Bougatfa hospital says 50-year-old Daoud Ben Mohamed poured gasoline and then ignited himself Saturday in front of Bizerte town hall in northern Tunisia. She said the man, who had a history of mental illness, suffered third-degree burns and will be transferred to the national burns unit, near the capital Tunis. On Thursday, an unemployed father of three was critically injured when he set himself on fire in front of Gafsa town hall in the south of the country, apparently protesting economic conditions. Tunisians overthrew their dictator last year in an uprising sparked by the death by self-immolation of fruit vendor Mohammed Bouazizi, following his harassment by police.
