Alinma reaches out to universities for young Saudi talents
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 28 - 03 - 2016

ALINMA Bank recently participated in the tenth annual Career Day at the University of Business and Technology in Jeddah, where bank staff shared job and training opportunity information with prospective candidates from the university. Alinma's participation was part of its ongoing effort to identify, hire and then develop talented Saudis, with the aim of maintaining the most highly skilled workforce in its industry.
Speaking about the event, Dr. Sulaiman AlHudaif, general manager of Alinma's Human Capital group, emphasized the importance of outreach to universities and other educational institutions. "Alinma is committed to playing a constructive role in society, especially through its outreach programs that help bolster the employment of talented young Saudi men and women," said AlHudaif. "We are further committed to the ongoing development of our staff through our training programs and to the national effort of Saudization. We value our staff as the fundamental pillar of our success, and take steps to ensure their success as well as the overall success of the bank."
Alinma Bank is one of the main supporters of Saudization in the banking sector in the Kingdom, and boasts an 88% Saudization rate. Additionally, Alinma has established its "Wa'ed" program as an official talent development program that has the full and formal backing of all bank departments and that functions as a key component of Alinma's strategy. Wa'ed aims specifically to cultivate leadership by extending not only training to staff, but also by setting out career trajectories for talented employees.
Alinma Bank offers its fully Shariah-compliant services to both retail and corporate partners (customers) through a kingdom-wide network of 122 branches. Alinma's full range of services are also available through its electronic channels, which include Alinma Internet (www.alinma.com), Alinma Phone (8001208000), Alinma Mobile, Alinma's smartphone application and its network of 1,205 ATMs.
In the short period since its launch in 2009, Alinma Bank has been recognized both locally and internationally for its quality of service and its overall pursuit of excellence. Most recently, Alinma was yet again recognized as the fastest growing bank in Saudi Arabia, the third time the bank has won this accolade.
