AUDI strengthens its presence in the booming SUV segment. At the Geneva Motor Show, the brand unveiled the compact Audi Q2 – an urban car for everyday driving and leisure with a progressive design and youthful charm. It is flanked by two new top models at its world debut – the Audi S4 Avant and the Audi RS Q3 performance. "We have specifically developed the Audi Q2 for young customers," explained Prof. Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG. "Its looks distinguish it as a model with attitude. The compact SUV blends the technical expertise of our brand with high everyday utility and emotional character." Measuring 4.19 meters in length, the Audi Q2 has a powerful road stance. With its overtly geometrical formal idiom it takes up position as an independent character within the Q family. Customers can tailor many of the details to their individual preferences, and there are two trim lines to choose from. Expressive colors create highlights both on the exterior and in the spacious interior. The seated position is sportily deep in relation to the steering wheel, and the controls are self-explanatory. Options include the all-digital Audi virtual cockpit and a head-up display. The infotainment range culminates in the MMI navigation plus with the online component Audi connect. The Audi Q2 also redefines the class benchmark for assistance systems. Audi pre sense front can avoid collisions with pedestrians or vehicles; adaptive cruise control with stop & go function and traffic jam assist represent precursors of piloted driving. The newest member of the Q family is available with powerful and efficient TFSI engines – its performance range extends from 150 hp to 190 hp. The seven-speed S tronic with lightning-fast action is available for all engine versions, and quattro permanent all-wheel drive. It owes its agile handling to the standard-fit progressive steering, the sporty suspension – optionally with damper control – and the optional driving dynamics system Audi drive select. The Audi Q2 goes on sale in Europe in fall 2016. Market Introduction dates for the Middle East are not set yet. Audi already took the wraps off the S4 Sedan at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Audi S4 Avant, which combines the performance of a sports car with the practicality of a station wagon, now goes on show to the public at Geneva. Its newly designed 3.0 TFSI with turbocharging develops 354 hp. The V6 power unit accelerates the S4 Avant from a standstill to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and on to a governed top speed of 250 km/h. quattro drive and Audi drive select are standard features. In Germany it goes on sale in summer 2016, with a starting price of EUR 61,150. The Audi S4 Sedan comes with the same engine as the Avant and accelerates the car from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The S4 Sedan will arrive in the region in October 2016. Prices and Specs are not set yet. As well as the Q2 and S4 Avant, Audi presented the new top model of the Q3 line at Geneva: the RS Q3 performance. Its five-cylinder turbo engine has an output of 367 hp – 27 hp more than in the RS Q3. It sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.4 seconds and achieves a top speed of 270 km/h. It has exclusive equipment to complement its extra power. The sporty SUV is already on sale, with a starting price of EUR 61,000 on the German market. Also on show at Geneva: the RS 6 Avant performance and the RS 7 Sportback performance. Both cars are ready to order in the Middle East. Prices start at AED 495,000 and 512,000 respectively.
