The Golden State Warriors recorded their 50th consecutive home victory Wednesday night, riding Stephen Curry's 34 points to a 121-85 thumping of the New York Knicks.
Golden State's second consecutive season-series sweep of the Knicks capped a perfect six-game homestand and improved the Warriors' home record to 32-0 this season.
The 50-game streak, which dates back to January of 2015, is the first in the four major professional American sports.
Topping 30 points for the ninth time in his last 11 games, Curry connected on 12 of his 20 shots and eight of his 13 3-point attempts, including 4 of 7 in the first quarter, during which the Warriors (61-6) built as much as a 13-point lead. The game was never appreciably closer.
Klay Thompson had five 3-pointers en route to 19 points, backup center Marreese Speights bombed in a career-best three 3-pointers during a 13-point performance, and Draymond Green (11 rebounds, 10 assists) missed a 12th triple-double by four points, helping the Warriors win for the 21st time in their last 27 games against the Knicks. Green's rebound and assist totals were game-highs.
The Warriors shot 50.5 percent in the game and made 18 of their 37 3-pointers.
Carmelo Anthony had 18 points and a team-high six assists for the Knicks (28-41), who lost for the third time in five games on the West Coast in the past nine days.
The Knicks shot just 39.6 percent from the field, with their four starters other than Anthony combining to go 5 of 27.
Cavaliers 99, Mavericks 98
Kyrie Irving scored 33 points and came up with a key steal in the final seconds to preserve the Cleveland Cavaliers' 99-98 victory Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks.
The Cavs played without star forward LeBron James, who was rested. Kevin Love had 23 points and 18 rebounds, and Channing Frye scored 14 points off the bench to give the Cavs their first victory in a game James sat out this season. They were blown out in the previous two instances and nearly blew a 20-point lead Wednesday before surviving.
Dirk Nowitzki scored 20 points for the Mavericks, and David Lee added 20 points off the bench.
Thunder 130, Celtics 109
Kevin Durant scored seven points in the first 1:18 and went on to total 28 points, nine assists and seven rebounds, while Russell Westbrook had 24 points, five assists and five rebounds for Thunder, who handed Boston its third straight loss. Isaiah Thomas led the Celtics (39-29) with 29 points.
Wizards 117, Bulls 96
John Wall recorded his third triple-double of the season with 29 points, 10 rebounds and 12 assists to lead Washington.
Bradley Beal had 20 points and Garrett Temple scored all of his 15 points in the first half for the Wizards, who sank 13 of 21 3-pointers.
Hornets 107, Magic 99
Marvin Williams and Nicolas Batum scored 26 points apiece for Charlotte, which has won 14 of its last 17 games.
The Hornets took control of the game by outscoring the Magic 35-13 in the second quarter, with an 18-0 run over a five-minute stretch.
In other games it was: Hawks 118, Piston 114; Timberwolves 114, Grizzlies 108; Pelicans 123, Kings 108; Clippers 122, Rockets 106.
