TUNISIA — The Arab Interior Ministers' Council condemned and deplored here today the practices and dangerous acts by the terrorist group Hezbollah to destabilize security and peace in some Arab countries. This came in the "Tunis Declaration" issued at the conclusion of the 33rd session of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers on Wednesday in the Tunisian capital. The "Tunis Declaration' reiterated its condemnation of terrorism whatever its forms or sources and all acts of terrorism, including those directed against ethnic and sectarian minorities. The declaration also denounced the acts carried out by extremist groups and sectarian militias. The declaration condemned all forms of support for terrorism and terror funding. It stressed its categorical rejection of extortion, threats and demanding of ransom practiced by terrorist groups to finance their crimes. The declaration calls upon all countries to abide by the UN Security Council resolutions in this regard. The declaration stressed the Arab countries' determination to continue the fight against terrorism, address its causes, mobilize all efforts and resources to eradicate it and boost Arab cooperation in this area. The declaration strongly condemned state terrorism practiced by Israel in the occupied Palestinian territories, expressed the Arab countries' support for the right of the Palestinian people to self-determination and establishing their independent state on their national soil with Al-Quds as its capital. The declaration condemned the storming of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Consulate in Iran and the harassment suffered by Saudi diplomats and their families. The Tunis Declaration condemned and deplored the dangerous practices and acts carried out by the terrorist group Hezbollah to destabilize security and social peace in some Arab countries. It extended full support for the actions taken by all member states to fight Al-Qaeda and Daesh terrorists.
