A strong delegation of experts from Finland will be attending the Global Educational Supplies and Solutions (GESS) exhibition to be held in Dubai next month to explore opportunities in the Gulf's education sector. From only five companies participating last year, more than 15 Finnish companies will be present at this year's edition of GESS Dubai, and will be sharing their world-class education expertise with innovative technology solutions to schools and universities attending the region's leading education exhibition and conference that will take place on March 1-3, 2016 at Dubai World Trade Centre. "When it comes to education, Finland stands at the head of the class. This year, we will have a strong presence at GESS where we hope to showcase Finnish advances in cloud-based e-learning platforms and infrastructure solutions, assessment systems, playful mobile solutions, educational games and software, and digital learning content as well as education institutions offering consultation services and professional development programs especially for teachers; and the knowledge and practical skills they need to improve teaching," said Seppo Keränen, Program Director for Future Learning Finland. The Finnish educational system is renowned globally as one of the top performers worldwide. For the past 15 years, Finland has ranked among the top nations on the Program for International Student Assessment (PISA), a standardized test given to 15-year olds in over 40 countries.
