The Capital Market Authority (CMA) has developed specialized qualification examinations for those working in the security industry to enhance their skills. The examinations include areas such anti money laundering, brokerage dealing, mutual funds, asset management as well as corporate finance, based on best professional and international standards. Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Tuwaijri, chairman CMA, explained the initiatives under the regulatory role of the CMA and its efforts to raise the level of quality in the securities industry to provide the proper investment environment. He said the examinations have been designed as per the international standards. “As part of its efforts to raise awareness in the securities industry, CMA allows all Saudis, who aspire to develop their expertise in the area,” he said adding that a high school diploma was the only eligibility for the exam. The Authority also invites educational and training institutions in the Kingdom to participate in the examination, he said.
