Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored again as Paris Saint-Germain beat Lorient 3-1 to set a new French league record of 33 consecutive games unbeaten Wednesday. After creating the opening goal for strike partner Edinson Cavani early in the first half, Ibrahimovic grabbed his league-leading 20th of the season shortly after the break as PSG eclipsed the record set by Nantes 21 years ago. Left-back Layvin Kurzawa added another goal midway through the second half to cap a fine night for PSG, which leads second-place Monaco by 24 points after just 24 games and could clinch a fourth straight title as early as March. PSG has not lost in the league since a 3-2 defeat away to Bordeaux on March 15. PSG's daunting unbeaten run includes 30 wins and just three draws, whereas Nantes was less dominant with 19 wins and 13 draws. PSG coach Laurent Blanc's team heads into Sunday's showdown at bitter rival Marseille in ominous form and a plus-50 goal difference. Meanwhile, Nice climbed above Angers and into third place thanks to a hard-fought 1-0 win against struggling Toulouse, which was languishing in 19th place. Despite taking an early lead, Angers lost 2-1 at Reims. Nantes moved up to sixth place after beating Corsican side Gazelec Ajaccio 3-1, and striker Alexandre Lacazette scored twice as Lyon beat Bordeaux 3-0 to move up to ninth. Also, improving Lille beat Caen 1-0, and Guingamp beat last-place Troyes 4-0. Napoli and Juve win In Milan, Napoli and Juventus delivered club record winning streaks to maintain their Serie A title challenges Wednesday, while Hellas Verona finally recorded its first victory of the season. Gonzalo Higuain netted his 23rd goal in as many league games to help Napoli win at Lazio 2-0, and match the club record of seven successive league victories, set in 1987-88. Napoli's win was marred by racist chants directed at visiting defender Kalidou Koulibaly from some of the Lazio fans, as well as other discriminatory chants, which led to the suspension of the game for four minutes in the second half. Juventus extended its run to 13 successive victories by beating Genoa 1-0 to remain two points behind Napoli. Fiorentina is six points further back after Mauro Zarate's stoppage-time goal snatched a 2-1 victory over Carpi. Fourth-place Inter got back to winning ways by beating Chievo 1-0, while AC Milan continued where it left off in Sunday's derby win with a 2-0 victory at Palermo, with Carlos Bacca and M'Baye Niang on the scoresheet again. At the other end of the table, Verona beat 10-man Atalanta 2-1 to end its worst streak; it was its first win in 23 matches. Verona is 10 points from safety after 17th-place Sampdoria drew against Torino 2-2. Second-from-bottom Frosinone also won, beating 10-man Bologna 1-0. Empoli rescued a 1-1 draw against Udinese.
