Public relations in Saudi Arabia is a still budding field that has tremendous potential of growth, the founder of a young PR firm said Saturday. “Saudi Arabia has a very young public relations industry. The first PR agency was only established in 1992,” said Yahya Hamidaddin, Managing director, partner and founder of Adalid Public Relations Agency. “Since Adalid Public Relations was launched in April 2009, there has been tremendous growth in the industry and in our company.” The tumultuous times that world's markets are witnessing have also given a boost to the industry. “With the worldwide financial crises, the need for PR has increased, because companies are seeking credibility more than anything else, to save and expand their businesses,” Yahya said. “PR is reputation management,” he added. __
