The event features over 250 exhibitors showcasing all bridal essentials from dresses, wedding planners, jewellery, destinations, hair and beauty, and wedding preparations. It takes care of everything wedding and lifestyle related. We caught up with Suzy Pallett, Exhibition Director of the Bride Show 2016 from Informa Middle East to discuss one of the biggest bridal shows in the region and the growing demand for it. It is no secret that the Middle East is one of the biggest spenders when it comes to beauty and extravagant occasions. "After travelling the world, dabbling in litigation and financial services I was fortunate enough to join the world of events – the events industry is ever evolving, constantly exciting and unlike many industries we are fortunate enough to see the fruits of our labour and so it keeps me challenged and motivated," Pallett told Saudi Gazette. Bride 2016 will see more content, more navigation and a better experience for consumers that are at a hugely exciting time of their lives. "We want a trip to BRIDE to be magical as it is part of a journey that is an everlasting moment in female's lives. Bride will see the who's who of fashion, beauty and weddings to ensure visitors ae left uplifted. Some of the features for this year include, a main stage with celebrity hosts, a list fashion and demonstrations, pop up couture for world renowned designers, pamper zone with free treatments and a fashion café – to name a few!" She said the challenge in the Middle East is exciting as she is able to explore the diverse and rich cultures here that intertwine tradition with modernity. "And as such ensure that we put these learnings into consumer events that will satisfy the region. We are fortunate in this region to have an affluent, from both an economic and time perspective, demographic that varies slightly from the West in that the region by its very nature provides beautiful inspiration, the growth of the region over the last 50 years is exponential and this also leads to an exciting consumer that is hungry for inspiration. The critical thing in any region is to pay respect to the region, its heritage, and tradition whilst inspiring it with consumer events that both respect and excite the audience." Discussing the regional participants this year, she mentioned Essa, Amato Haute Couture, Rita Kumar, Ayesha Depala, and Abeer along with wedding planner's Wedding Wannahaves and Twelve08, destinations such as Seychelles and Purobeach and make up by Glossy Make-Up among the line up. "Bride provides a history and thus credibility that ensures it is the biggest female lifestyle and bridal event in the region. The show hits the bridal party with everything it needs – delightful destinations from venues to honeymoons, bridal fashion and bridal party fashion, jewellery, hair and makeup and of course creating the celebration everything required to create the perfect celebration from florists to favours!" Pallett said the Middle East is a glorious region that is in a fantastic position of being rich in culture and yet so open to modernity. "I think that the Middle East will start to lead the way in creativity, fashion and icons as it is such an influential region with consumers that are educated and insightful to creating their individual trends as opposed to just following a pack." Ticket sales for the event will go on sale from the 14th February.
