Participants of the 2nd Saudi Literary Forum expressed their appreciation for the care extended by King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, and Crown Prince Naif Bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior, for Saudi culture. In the forum's recommendation letter, read by Mohammed Redha Nasrullah, Secretary General, they also considered the speech of Dr. Abdulaziz Khoja, Minister of Culture and Information, an official document of the conference which ended here, Thursday. The forum participants recommended the formation of an independent ministry of culture that takes care of literature, folk culture, children's culture, book fairs, plastic arts, Arabic calligraphy, theater, arts, music, heritage, photography, sculpture, cinema and innovation. They said the building of cultural centers in different regional capitals and major towns is a must to accommodate these activities. They demanded that the government allocate incentive prizes for artists, inventors and authors. Khoja orders lit. club revote Dr. Khoja has ordered a revote at the Eastern Region's Literary Club, nullifying the elections held earlier. The minister said elections should be held again within six months according to literary clubs regulations.
