Saudi Gazette Egypt's Tourism Minister Hisham Zaazou announced that Ice Age Live show will be coming to Cairo from Feb. 3-10 in the covered hall of Cairo Stadium at a press conference while adding that the arrival of the show, which will feature 86 performers from 34 countries, is a good start for the new year and that by their coming it just re-emphasized that the world trust Egypt as a host and a tourist destination. Egypt was selected by the organizing company of Ice Age Live to be the first country in the Middle East to host this show; the show has been hosted in more than 300 cities in 30 countries around the world. Zaazou also said that Egypt confidently opens its arms to the world in 2016, and expressed his gladness in hosting Ice Age Live 2016 in Egypt. "This just goes to prove the real image of Egypt and its ability to host such important events," Zaazou added. Zaazou, while thanking the organizing company, said that Egypt started the year optimistically, while referring also to the celebration that was held by the Ministry of Tourism in the Pyramids area on Dec. 31 to welcome the New Year 2016. "This sent a message to the world that Egypt will be back as a major tourism destination and will receive a good numbers of tourists in this year," Zaazou added. Zaazou said, "Organizing more events like Ice Age Live will be the strategy that the ministry is going to adopt this year, and that they are expecting more similar high quality events to be staged around the year in order to support and market and enhance Egyptian tourism globally." Ice Age Live is a live performance on ice, with all Ice Age characters skating on ice in front of the audiences. The show will also include acrobats and aerial arts. The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism will participate in Travel and Tourism Pioneers Forum that supposed to be held on Jan. 15-16 as sponsor country. Samy Mahmoud, chairman of the Egyptian Tourism Authority, will be heading the Egyptian delegation. He said that this forum will prove to be a good platform to present to Saudis information about tourism in Egypt and also the amazing attractive places in Egypt, adding, the forum will also provide information to Egyptians expats about the resorts and the attractive places that they might not have heard about. The Egyptian Ministry of Tourism had launched at the end of the year 2015, This is Egypt (#thisisegypt) campaign to support tourism, Samy said, adding that there will be a commercial campaign on the most important Gulf televisions, malls and also social networks to support tourism in Egypt.
