The allocations in this year's budget have shown the genuine desire of the government to exert every possible effort to achieve sustainable national development that benefits the Kingdom's citizens. Projects related to sustainable development received the largest share of the budget, and other major allocations reflect the government's keenness to emphasize manpower training and development. Public and university education, training programs, social development, health and sports projects and social care projects are among the projects that were highlighted in the new budget. SR168 billion has been set aside for general and higher education and manpower training which will make possible the construction of hundreds of new schools for boys and girls and the establishment of university campuses in different regions of the country. The budget focuses on human development and this reflects the fact that King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, has always been concerned about the welfare of the nation. In his speech before announcing the budget, King Abdullah directed all ministers to devote themselves to enhancing the well-being and comfort of citizens. All government officials must shoulder this responsibility and work to achieve this objective because the leader of this nation has entrusted them with this obligation. They should use the allocations of the new budget to achieve the required goals based on the careful implementation of well-thought-out programs. They should ensure that all projects and programs progress smoothly without any disruption or delay in implementation. There can be no excuse for negligence. All officials and citizens have an obligation to work hard for the development of their county, which has provided them with everything they require for a peaceful and prosperous life. __
