Klay Thompson scored a game-high 38 points and keyed a decisive surge late in the fourth quarter as the Golden State Warriors rebounded from their worst loss on the season with a 114-110 victory over the Houston Rockets Thursday night.
Thompson drilled a pair of pull-up jumpers off penetration, the second capping an 8-0 run that gave the Warriors (30-2) a 113-102 lead at Toyota Center.
Warriors forward Draymond Green posted a triple-double with 10 points, 11 rebounds and a career-high 16 assists while forward Andre Iguodala added 20 points off the bench on 6-for-7 shooting.
Golden State lost at Dallas 114-91 Wednesday night without four rotation players, including guard Stephen Curry, who was sidelined for a second consecutive game Thursday.
Golden State finished with 35 assists on 43 field goals.
Guard James Harden paced the Rockets (16-18) with 30 points, five rebounds and five assists while center Dwight Howard added 21 points, 13 rebounds and five assists. Guard Patrick Beverley added 15 points.
Bucks 120, Pacers 116
Guard Khris Middleton scored a game-high 33 points, including two clinching free throws with 6.4 seconds remaining, and the Milwaukee Bucks held on for a 120-116 road victory over the Indiana Pacers.
Center Greg Monroe added 23 points for the Bucks (13-21).
Indiana (18-14), which closed within two points before Middleton's big free throws, trailed by as many as 16 points in the fourth quarter, losing for a second consecutive night.
Pistons 115, Timberwolves 90
Andre Drummond powered for 23 points and 18 rebounds and the Detroit Pistons snapped a three-game losing streak with a 115-90 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday at The Palace.
Point guard Reggie Jackson had 19 points and nine assists for the Pistons (18-15) and backcourt partner Kentavious Caldwell-Pope tossed in 22 points, including 19 in the second half.
Clippers 95, Pelicans 89
Chris Paul shook off a miserable shooting night to nail a 17-foot fadeaway jumper with a minute left, lifting Los Angeles to a victory over New Orleans.
Paul was just 2-for-17 from the floor when he canned the jumper over Alonzo Gee to put the Clippers on top 90-87. Paul finished 3-for-18 for nine points, but he had 12 assists. J.J. Redick led Los Angeles with 26 points.
The Pelicans got 17 points from Ryan Anderson, 15 from Norris Cole and 14 points and 15 rebounds from Anthony Davis.

Trey Burke scored a season-high 27 points, and forward Gordon Hayward added 23 points and 10 rebounds to power Utah to a victory over Portland.
Rodney Hood chipped in 18 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Utah, which evened the season series with Portland after shooting 45 percent (15-of-33) from 3-point range.
CJ McCollum scored 32 points to lead the Blazers, who saw a three-game winning streak end. Meyers Leonard added 17 points, and Allen Crabbe chipped in 15 points. — Agencies
