The ALS Inter-City Cup was launched by Pakistan all-rounder Sohail Tanvir during a glittering ceremony at a local hotel in Jeddah recently. A two-match one-day series between Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA) and Riyadh Cricket League (RCL) is to be played in Riyadh and is co-sponsored by ALS Borderless Logistics. The ceremony was also graced by Tehseem ul Haque Haqqi, community welfare attaché, Pakistan Consulate, Jeddah, Afzal Ahmed Shaikh, executive director of ALS Borderless Logistics, Ashfaq Aleem and Mohammed Ali Jarrar of Ace Travel, Ismail Yamani of Khind Electronics among others. Tanvir appreciated JCA for providing players with an opportunity to display their talents. The growth of cricket in the Kingdom took him by surprise. He wished the JCA squad the best against RCL. He also thanked Sameer Nidal, JCA director, and JCA for giving him an opportunity to visit the Kingdom. Dr. Faiz Al-Abideen, JCA chairman, thanked the sponsor, ALS, for its support and wished the JCA squad all the best. Sameer appreciated Tanvir for honoring his commitment by giving time to JCA at a short notice.
