‘Shop Bahrain' launched in a glittery event

‘SHOP Bahrain', the largest nationwide festival, kicked off last Dec. 24 at Seef Mall with a live performance by popular Arabic singer Asma Lmnawar, with scores of people attending the launch event from Bahrain and across the region.
Shop Bahrain will mirror the Kingdom's position as a welcoming, accessible, family destination with an incredibly diverse range of retail experiences from luxury malls to traditional souks to luxury boutiques coupled with unbeatable bargains and promotions. The 30-day festival will run until Jan. 23, 2016.
Shop Bahrain Project Director Nawaf Al Koheji said: "For the next thirty days, we welcome residents and visitors to enjoy the promotions and activities organized as a part of Shop Bahrain."
Shop Bahrain's calendar of activities boasts the return of Al Riwaq's ‘The Nest', showcasing local and regional talent and entrepreneurs under one roof during the weekend event. The event aims to promote the latest creations from clothes, jewelry, ceramics, furniture and much more. On the sidelines of the event, a number of workshop for children, film screenings and music acts are held. The event will be held on the weekends until Jan. 9. 2016.
In addition, the ‘Taste Tour' is held daily in the center of it all – Adliya, until Jan. 9, allowing the public to sample the best dishes from 13 restaurants in Block 338. Participants who complete the ‘Taste Tour' will be able to take part in a raffle draw for a Gulf Air business class ticket to any destination.
Shop Bahrain also features the largest outdoor ice skating rink held outside Al A'ali Shopping Complex, the ‘VIVA Shop & Skate' is open throughout the week and also features a market during the weekends, creating a unique experience for the public.
Next on the calendar of events is ‘The Family Fair', an exciting carnival held during the New Year's Eve Weekend at Prince Khalifa bin Salman Park in Hidd featuring a concert by Bahraini singer, Hind, along with fireworks, games and food stalls.
A number of in-mall activities will also be held across participating shopping malls including children cinema, art workshops, reverse bungee jumps, rock climbing and much more.
Mega raffle draw and instant scratch and win cards will also offer visitors and residents the opportunity to win big and amazing prizes with more than 20,000 prizes such as airline tickets and cars.
