Petromin, a driving force in the development of the lubricant industry, recently organized a seminar in partnership with Lubrizol Corporation at the Holiday Inn Al-Khobar. Over 200 participants from prominent multinational, private, public and government organizations attended the seminar which was chaired by the CEO Eng. Samir Nawar. The seminar was aimed at gaining knowledge about the current and future trends and developments in lubricants and machines. Experts from Petromin and Lubrizol USA, Dr. Tim Cooper, Dr. Frank and Dr. Salim Ahmed spoke about the current and future trends and developments in lubricants. Eng. Nawar said the petroleum sector continued to be a dominant force in the global economy: “As representatives of the oils and lubricants industry, we can be proud of our role as key players in the petroleum sector,” he said. “We can all look forward to playing an increasingly important part in the growth and development of our country.” He emphasized the need for continuous research and development in the sector: “New technologies have enabled industry breakthroughs that allowed us to introduce innovative value added services, supporting Petromin's commitment to providing the best quality products and services that make life easier for the consumer.” The seminar discussed the latest trends and developments in diesel engines oils and industrial lubricants. It also threw light on the initiatives for mobile labs and video inspections programs for industrial customers. A video embracing four decades of Petromin's commitment to catering to the lubricant needs of all sectors was presented to the audience in the end.
