The King called on all states in the world to shoulder their responsibility to fight extremism and terrorism and eradicate it whatever may be its sources.
"The Kingdom exerted great efforts in combating terrorism and would continue its efforts, in cooperation and coordination with the brotherly and friendly countries. Our religion of moderation has rejected terrorism, which has no religion."
On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the formation of the GCC, the King called for proper evaluation of the bloc's achievements. "It is an appropriate time to assess the achievements and look forward to the future.
With whatever the Council has so far achieved, our citizens are looking forward to tangible achievements that affect their day to day life and that accomplish their aspirations," the King said, adding that the GCC states would exert all efforts to achieve concrete results in bolstering cooperation and coherence among them.
