airarabia targets Saudis to visit Abu Dhabi
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 02 - 12 - 2015

ABU DHABI Tourism & Culture Authority's (TCA Abu Dhabi) goal of developing Abu Dhabi as an internationally recognized cultural destination is pursued on two fronts: preservation and development.
While care is being taken to protect the emirate's unique archaeological heritage and remarkable natural landscape, a whole new cultural quarter is being built on Saadiyat Island, featuring world-class museums designed by some of the world's leading architects.
Attracting visitors to Abu Dhabi and making sure they have an enjoyable and comfortable stay is a key factor in the choice of tourists of one destination over another. The Authority has implemented a comprehensive sustainability program designed to monitor and enforce sustainability best-practice throughout the tourism sector. In line with this mandate of TCA Abu Dhabi to conserve and promote Abu Dhabi as a world class destination, airarabia holidays in collaboration with cozmo travel happily embraces this vision to promote and showcase Abu Dhabi as a family destination in Saudi Arabia. airarabia handled 105,000 tourists from Saudi Arabia in 2015 out of which 20% stayed in hotels around Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai and Ras Al Khaimah. The objective of this strategic partnership between airarabia holidays and Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority is to target at least 10% of the Saudi tourist arrivals in 2015 – 2016 to stay in Abu Dhabi with special offers and promotions. Sultan Ali Al Mansoori, GCC Country Manager commented that there is a growing interest among Saudis in visiting Yas Island due to its various entertainment facilities and shopping available under one roof. He added by saying that they are trying to achieve these figures by partnering with hotels in offering complimentary return airport transfers from Sharjah to Abu Dhabi.
Some of the hotels like Janah Properties, Holiday Inn Downtown, One to One, Tryp etc have also come out in support of this promotion by providing offers like 2 kids below 12 years stays free with parents, discount on spas and free pass to Ferrari World etc. airarabia holidays and cozmo travel recently conducted seminars for the travel trade in Saudi Arabia to educate them on the newly launched product and also the benefits of promoting it via airarabia holidays.
Jamal Abdul Nazar (GM airarabia and CEO Cozmo Travel) said that the preservation and conservation of tourism is possible when all the concerned elements work hand in hand with the same ideals and vision to leave behind a rich culture and history for the future generation.
