The Golden State Warriors stretched their perfect record to 14-0 Friday with a hard-fought 106-94 victory over the Chicago Bulls in Oakland that left them one win away from matching the best start to an NBA season. Led by Stephen Curry's 27 points, the Warriors matched the best start by a reigning NBA champion — the 14-0 start of the 1957-58 Boston Celtics. With a win at Denver Sunday they can match the best ever start to a season of 15-0, achieved by Washington in 1948-49 and the Houston Rockets in 1993-94. A win there would see them try to break the record when they host the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday. "I think this would be a cool accomplishment," Curry said of extending the streak, but it's looking harder to maintain. Barnes scored 20 points, making three of his six three-point attempts and pulling down nine rebounds. Shooting guard Klay Thompson added 15 points for the Warriors. Guard Jimmy Butler led the Bulls with 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists. Nikola Mirotic added 18 points and 10 rebounds and center Pau Gasol added 14 points and 10 rebounds for Chicago, who were held to 39.8 percent shooting. Hornets 113, 76ers 88: Al Jefferson had his third double-double of the season with 26 points and 10 rebounds as the Charlotte Hornets rolled to an easy 113-88 victory over the winless Philadelphia 76ers. Jefferson scored 14 of his points in the first quarter as the Hornets jumped on the Sixers quickly and never trailed. He had 18 by halftime, then sat and watched much of the second half with the Hornets comfortably ahead. Celtics 120, Nets 95: Boston's Avery Bradley reached double figures for the fourth straight game, finishing with a game-high 21 points off the bench to power the Celtics to a 120-95 rout of the Brooklyn Nets at TD Garden. The guard has scored 18 or more points in each of his last three games, averaging 20 during that span. Bradley now has five outings with 18 points or more in November. Pelicans 104, Spurs 90: Ryan Anderson scored a game-high 30 points and Anthony Davis added 20 and 18 rebounds to power the New Orleans Pelicans to a 104-90 upset victory over the San Antonio Spurs at Smoothie King Center. The victory was only the second in 13 games for the injury-riddled Pelicans and it snapped the Spurs' six-game winning streak. Pistons 96, Timberwolves 86: Andre Drummond scored 21 points and added 11 rebounds as the Detroit Pistons erased a second-half deficit in a 96-86 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves at Target Center. Drummond, who was limited to four points in the first half, scored 15 points in the third quarter alone as the Pistons finished the frame on a 21-11 run, turning a seven-point deficit into a three-point lead heading into the fourth. Grizzles 96, Rockets 84: Memphis point guard Mike Conley scored a game-high 26 points and Marc Gasol had 16, 11 assists and 11 rebounds as the Grizzlies defeated the Houston Rockets 96-84 at FedExForum. The Grizzlies (7-6) have won four straight. Knicks 93, Thunder 90: Carmelo Anthony scored 25 points to lead the New York Knicks to a 93-90 victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder at Chesapeake Energy Center. Anthony made nine of 20 shots from the field and grabbed five rebounds. Arron Afflalo scored 14 points for New York and Lance Thomas came off to bench to score 12. Other results: Mavericks 102, Jazz 93; Suns 114, Nuggets 107; Trail Blazers 102, Clippers 91; Raptors 102, Lakers 91. — Agencies
